UPDATE: Hermine Wind Threat Decreases for Southern Westchester, says NWS
At least the Hudson Valley didn't get the mistaken 'evacuate' order that Suffolk County residents got from FEMA
UPDATE 11:28AM: The Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for much of southern Westchester. The wind threat has varied a little from the previous assessment, made just after dawn Sunday.
The peak wind forecast is for wind of 20-30 mph with gusts to 45 mph.
The potential impacts are limited: unsecured lightweight objects could be blown about; damage to awnings, porches, sheds; large tree limbs broken off; scattered power outages.

Post-Tropical-Storm Hermine will drift off the coast through Tuesday, bringing winds of 15-25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph, localized to moderate coastal flooding and strong rip currents.
Meanwhile, Suffolk County residents packed and unpacked Saturday night. First a warning sent out by the Federal Emergency Management Agency indicated that the entire county was under an evacuation order due to Tropical Storm Hermine. That turned out to be a rather large mistake.
"An inaccurate message went out this evening from a federal emergency management authority to some Suffolk County residents stating that all Suffolk County residents must evacuate," Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone said. "THAT WAS INCORRECT – A second message has been disseminated to clarify that a VOLUNTARY evacuation is in effect for FIRE ISLAND ONLY starting immediately."
