Metro-North Announces 2015 Thanksgiving Holiday Rail Schedule

If you’re planning an early holiday getaway, want to avoid traffic or are heading into New York for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, here’s the Metro-North Railroad holiday schedule.

Metro-North’s special Thanksgiving Holiday Timetable is in effect Thursday, Nov. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 29.

On Wednesday, Nov. 25, early getaway trains will begin departing Grand Central at 12:58 p.m. See a regular timetable for details. Because of reduced ridership, some evening trains may be cancelled or combined.

On Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 26, there will be additional inbound trains for those heading to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Holiday Parade.

On the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, Nov. 27, trains will operate on a Saturday schedule with additional trains inbound in the AM and outbound in the PM.

On Saturday, Nov. 28 and Sunday, Nov. 29 there will be regular weekend schedules with additional Shoppers’ Specials trains.
