The Pel Mel Newspaper Receives Award
his is the first year that the CSPA is evaluating both the print newspaper and the on-line edition.
From PMHS: Congratulations to the 2017-18 Pel Mel PMHS student newspaper staff. The paper was awarded Gold Medal status by Columbia Scholastic Press Association. This is the first year that the CSPA is evaluating both the print newspaper and the on-line edition.
The comments from the Columbia University panel of adjudicators said, "All stories are meticulously edited. Headlines are well written. It is clear you have used the AP style guide for all stories. Continue to implement your high standard."
Staff members include Henry Morjikian, Quinn Humphrey, Lang Sorice, Dylan Nordstrom, Katy Hart, Lucy Edmunds, SJ O'Connor, Maeve Parmelee, Bernadette Russo, Ben Glickman, Luca Rivera, Madison Popovic, Johnny Liesman, Gavin Woods, Charlotte Edmunds, Julia Kaplansky and Madeline Bryce. The Pel Mel advisor is Mr. Neil Schleifer.
