Pelham Board of Ed. Announces Interim Business Official
The Pelham Board of Education appointed Linda Purvis as the interim business official during a recent meeting.

From Pelham Public Schools: The Pelham Board of Education appointed Linda Purvis as interim business official at its meeting on Dec. 20.
Mrs. Purvis, a Pelham resident, has been working in the District’s business office as a consultant since July following the resignation of former Assistant Superintendent for Business Angelo Rubbo. She recently retired from the Scarsdale School District after serving 15 years as assistant superintendent for business.
"Mrs. Purvis' professionalism and attention to detail have been enormously helpful to the business office over the past several months," said Board of Education President Marianne Gilland. "We are grateful that she has agreed to come out of retirement to help us as we search for a full-time candidate."

Pelham Superintendent Dr. Peter Giarrizzo said that Mrs. Purvis is expected to remain with Pelham for the remainder of the school year while the District searches for a permanent business official. Mrs. Purvis is expected to continue working approximately three days a week.
“We are incredibly fortunate to have Linda Purvis assisting us during this interim period,” said Dr. Giarrizzo. “Her experience, financial acumen and familiarity with the Pelham community make her the ideal individual to provide financial leadership to the District as we begin developing the 2017-18 budget.”
