Pelham Board of Education Meets Sept. 12

At the session, the Board is expected to adopt the BOE/Superintendent's Goals for the year and announce the BOE committee memberships.

From Pelham BOE: The Board of Education of the Pelham Public Schools is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, September 12 2017 at 8:15 pm in the Middle School Library on the second floor of Pelham Middle School, 28 Franklin Pl, Pelham, NY 10803. It is anticipated that the Board will meet at 7:00 pm and go immediately into Executive Session in the Superintendent's Conference Room before the public meeting.

At the public session, the Board is expected to adopt the BOE/Superintendent’s Goals for the year, announce the BOE committee memberships, and set the topics for upcoming meetings. Superintendent Dr. Cheryl H. Champ is expected to provide an opening report on the school year and an update on summer work, facilities, safety and security.

Additionally, the Board will conduct a work session with regard to the anticipated bond referendum. The session will focus on needs at the high school/middle school, fields, HVAC and infrastructure. In addition to Dr. Champ’s Superintendent's report, the agenda may include updates from each School Board committee, Dr. Garcia on 21st Century Learning and Professional Development, Rosemary Matthews on Networks of Support and Social-Emotional Development, and Jim Hricay on Finances and Facilities.
