This coming Monday, June 6, 2022, the community is invited to join us in front of Pelham Memorial High School at 3:30 p.m. as we gather to celebrate the life and legacy of former longtime Superintendent of Schools Dr. Charles T. Wilson, who passed away in April.

At this event, Dr. Wilson will be remembered by several of his colleagues and friends, including former administrators, teachers, Board of Education members and others. Light refreshments will be served.

Dr. Wilson was a fixture in the Pelham schools for many years, serving in a variety of capacities from 1968-2008. He began his career in Pelham as a Social Studies Teacher and subsequently served in a variety of capacities, including Guidance Counselor, Director of Guidance Services, Director of Pupil Personnel Services, Director of Instruction & Personnel, Assistant Superintendent for Instruction & Personnel, and ultimately Superintendent, a post he held from 1996 until his retirement in 2008. In 2013, he returned to serve briefly as interim superintendent.

Additionally, at its last meeting, the Board of Education declared June 10, 2022 Dr. Charles T. Wilson day across the district. This date coincides with this year's PMHS Olympics, which Dr. Wilson founded during his tenure to foster spirit across the high school.
