Pelham Falls to Pleasantville

The Panthers bested the Pelham Pelicans at home.

The Pleasantville High School's boys lacrosse team had a fast start Wednesday, winning the opening game of the season on home turf.

Beating the Pelham Memorial High School Pelicans, 14-6, proved to be a tremendous team effort for the Panthers.

According to Head Coach Chris Kear, goaltender Christopher Doerr registered 15 saves during the game.

Contributing to the Panthers' side of the scoreboard were Greg Drillock with three goals and four assists, Josh Della Puca with five goals, Brendan Halloran with four goals and two assists, Baylor Rosenbaum with a goal and an assist and Nick Ware with a goal.

Charlie Montgomery and Austin Tomasetti each registered an assist in the victory, Kear said.

The Panthers (1-0) hit the road on Saturday with a matchup at Nyack High School at 1 p.m.
