Pelham Manor Police Arrest New Rochelle Man with Suspected Steroids

Pelham Manor police arrested New Rochelle resident Anthony Rhodes-Marcello, 20, after finding a vial of an alleged steroid in his car along with an open bottle of wine, several knives and a pellet-style rifle gun.

Marcello was released on $2000 bail and is due in Pelham Town Court on Thursday, March 14. 

According to police reports, Rhodes-Marcello was pulled over March 1 on Boston Post Rd., near the Hutchinson River Parkway ramp after police observed the dark window tint on his black 1990 Jeep Cherokee.

Once pulled over, police said Rhodes-Marcello failed to follow instructions, at one point walking toward the police car before being asked to return to the vehicle. 

Police reportedly saw a knife on the sun visor of the car, an open bottle of wine and a leather handgun holster in the car.

Further search of the jeep also turned up a gym bag containing a glass vial labelled "Nandrolone Decanoate" and 8 hypodermic needles. According to Pelham Manor police reports, Rhodes-Marcello told police the substance was a steroid that belonged to another person.

Police also found a rifle-style pellet gun and pellets, 6 folding and fixed-blade knives in the car.

Rhodes-Marcello was arrested for several charges including criminal possession of a weapon, 4th degree; 8 counts of possession of a hypodermic instrument; criminal possession of a controlled substance, 7th degree; possession of an open alcohol container; and window light transmittance under 70 percent.
