Emails - some of which have been called racist in nature - are at the center of an investigation involving Pelham Manor Police Chief Alfred Mosiello, according to The Journal News.
The emails were forwarded from Mosiello’s personal email account, according to the report, but the content of the emails has not been disclosed.
“The Village of Pelham Manor has retained the services of Brian Nugent, Esq., to review a personnel matter and report his findings to the Mayor and Board of Trustees,” Village Manager John Pierpont told The Journal News in a statement. “At this time, no further comment can be made regarding this matter.”
Currently, Mosiello is away from the department on medical leave.
