Pelham Memorial Athletes Of The Week

From Pelham Public Schools: Juniors Samantha Volpe (right) and Lauren Kuster (left) were named Athletes of the Week.

Playing for the girls’ basketball team in the Tappan Zee Tournament, Volpe scored 28 points and had 8 rebounds against Peekskill and scored 15 points, had 14 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocks against Nanuet.

Kuster added 13 points, 10 rebounds, 4 rebounds and 2 steals against Peekskill and 21 points, 2 steals and 6 rebounds against Nanuet. Both players were named to the All-Tournament Team for their efforts.
