Pelham Police Nab Suspect Near High School; BOE

Officers Nicholas Schwartz and Eugene Sisto apprehended a suspect near a Pelham school after fleeing from police earlier in the day.

From Pelham BOE: At its meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 12, The Pelham Board of Education recognized and thanked Pelham Manor Police Officer Nicholas Schwartz and Village of Pelham Police Officer Eugene Sisto for their efforts in apprehending a suspect who had been fleeing police earlier in the day. The suspect was first seen near PMHS by one of the District’s security guards, Daryl Jackson, which prompted the schools to go into lockout. Due to the incident, police patrols were added to all schools for additional security and, at approximately 2 pm, the suspect was apprehended by Officers Schwartz and Sisto on the campus of Siwanoy School. Mr. Jackson was also recognized for his efforts. The Pelham Public Schools is immensely thankful for the actions of these officers, as well as for the close coordination and collaboration that occurred between our two police departments and our District security team and staff.
