Pelham School Board To Hold Annual School Walkthrough

From The Pelham School System: The Board of Education will meet on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 for a regular meeting and Wednesday, September 5, 2018 for its annual tour of the Districts' schools and facilities.

The Board is expected to meet at 8:15 pm on Tuesday, September 4 in the Pelham Middle School Library, 28 Franklin Place, Pelham, NY 10803. Prior to the public meeting, the Board is expected to meet at 7 pm and immediately enter into executive session in the Superintendent's Conference room at 18 Franklin Place, Pelham, NY 10803. At the public meeting, Architect Russell Davidson from KG&D is expected to provide an update on the schematic design of the new Hutchinson School as well as the other projects in the capital improvement bond that passed last May. It is also anticipated that the Board will adopt goals for the 2018-19 school year, assign liaisons and chairpersons to various Board and District committees, and hear an update on summer work and facilities. In addition to Dr. Champ's Superintendent's report, the agenda may include updates from each School Board committee, as well as reports on 21st Century Learning and Professional Development, Networks of Support and Social-Emotional Development, and Finances and Facilities.

The full agenda will be available for viewing 24 hours before the meeting. On Wednesday, September 5, the Board will meet for its annual tour at 5:30 pm outside of Pelham Memorial High School, 575 Colonial Avenue, Pelham, NY 10803. No action will be taken at this meeting.
