Pelham School Calendar 2019-20: First Day Of School

PELHAM, NY — The first day of school is Sept. 5 in Pelham — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you'll want to mark the dates on your calendar ASAP.

The Pelham Board of Education adopted the final single-page 2019-20 calendar July 15.

The calendars include important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for the 2019-20 school year:

September

• 9/3, 4: Superintendent Conference Days
• 9/5: First Day of School (early dismissal, K-5)
• 9/25: 2-Hour Delay (staff development)
• 9/30: No School (Rosh Hashanah)

October

• 10/1: No School (Rosh Hashanah)
• 10/9: No School (Yom Kippur)
• 10/14: No School (Columbus Day)

November

• 11/1: 2-Hour Delay (Staff Development)
• 11/11: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/20: Evening Parent-Teacher Conferences grades 6-12
• 11/21: Early Release 6-12, Afternoon, Evening Parent-Teacher Conferences; Evening Conferences K-5
• 11/22: Conferences K-12
• 11/27: Early Release Drill K-12
• 11/28-29: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/5: 2-Hour Delay (staff development)
• 12/22:
• 12/23-31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (New Year's Day)
• 1/13: 2-Hour Delay (staff development)
• 1/20: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February
