PELHAM, NY — With all districts reporting Wednesday, Pelham Town Board member Raffella Szymanski is holding onto her seat with a narrow lead over her running mate.

"It has been a roller coaster since last night," Szymanski told Patch. "I thank everyone for their support. This is our democracy at work and I will abide by the results once totally completed."

The four-way race for two seats on the board resulted in one clear winner a couple hours after polls closed Tuesday. Kara McLoughlin had a substantial lead over her three rivals, and as of Wednesday morning, she had 1,707 votes, 32 percent of the total.
