Pelham Woman Seeks Submissions for $2,500 Grant

Barbara Nichuals, a Pelham resident and the owner of in Larchmont, is hosting a competition where local charities can submit grant proposals for a $2,500. The competition is being held in honor of Bayside’s 25th anniversary. Nichuals also owns in Bronxville.
Charities can find more about the grant by going here. Nichuals will then create a committee that will choose the top five submissions and post them on Bayside’s facebook page, where the public can vote on them.

“I wanted to celebrate our 25th anniversary,but I also wanted to something that would make an impact in the Westchester community,” said Nichuals, who has lived in Pelham for 20 years. “I wanted to make a donation, but but I found that it was difficult to choose just one.”
The deadline for submissions is July 31. Nichuals hopes to award the grant in September. Submission should be e-mailed to info@baysidetravel.com.
Guidelines are as follows:
- Provide the name and a short description of the applicant organization, including mission statement and organization’s goals.
- Describe the specific problem or opportunity to be addressed by the grant.
- Describe the program method you would use to get the desired results, the budget and how you would fund any amount of the budget over the $2,500 grant.
- Explain how the grant would help achieve the program’s objectives.
