PELHAM, NY — A new list that ranks the quality of public elementary schools in New York includes Siwanoy, Colonial, Prospect Hill and Hutchinson elementary schools in Pelham. See where they ranked, below.

Niche.com has compiled its top 100 public elementary schools for 2017 using data from the U.S. Department of Education along with student and parent feedback.

Some of the data includes state test scores, student-teacher ratio, diversity, teacher quality, and the overall quality of the school district, according to Niche.com.

In Niche's nationwide rankings of the top 100 public schools in America, no Hudson Valley schools cracked the list.

In looking at the top 100 public schools in New York, a couple of trends are very obvious. If you can swing it financially, you'll find the most high-ranked schools are in lower Hudson Valley communities like Katonah-Lewisboro, Mamaroneck, Pelham, Rye, Scarsdale and Suffern.
