PMHS Forensics Team Takes On Tournaments
The team placed 7th and 10th in two different tournaments over the weekend of Nov. 5.
From PMHS: The PMHS forensic speech team placed an impressive 7th at a tournament held at Fordham Prep over the weekend of Nov. 5. Freshman Asia Bertuccioli medaled in JV Oral Interpretation, freshman Isaac Blackburn and sophomore Nick Lieggi medaled in Congressional Debate. Special congratulations goes to senior Angelina Rosa who paced 11th in Congressional Debate and received her half-qualification for the NY State Championships.
Over the previous weekend, the team competed in the Sister Raimonde Memorial Service Tournament held at the Xavier High School in Manhattan. Due to the efforts of extempers Ben Glickman and Jack Morrell, declaimer Emily Kalyvas and interper Nahian Ehtesham, PMHS won an impressive 10th place overall. Sophomore Nick Lieggi placed as a finalist in Congressional Debate in his first-ever tournament.
