PMHS Orchestra Wins Gold with Distinction at 2018 NYSSMA

From Pelham Schools: The PMHS Orchestra, fresh off earning a Gold with Distinction honor at the NYSSMA Majors – Level 5, held its annual spring performance on June 4 in the PMHS Auditorium. Selections included:

“Concerto in C, op. 48 (Allegro molto e con brio),” featuring Adam Wisniewski-Jensen on violin –Kabalevsky
“The Gift” – Hofeldt
“Dances from Transylvania, Bear Dance, Finale” – Bartok
“Drifen” – Atwell
“Romance (from Tales of Hoffmann),” featuring Athena Woodfin, Soprano – Offenbach
“More (from Mondo Cane)” – Ortolani & Oliviero/Zanky
“Guantanamera,” featuring Daniella Cherner on Bloques de madera and Matyas Spunberg on Claves –Acuna
“Halcyon” – Hofeldt
“Winds of Winter” – Djawadi/Zanky
