Slain Yonkers Woman Whose Husband Killed Himself Is Mourned, Remembered
The body of Christina Maniotis was found in a Sunnyside Drive apartment Monday; her husband had been considered a person of interest.
The woman who was found dead in Yonkers and whose husband apparently committed suicide was a longtime employee at Armonk’s Fortina restaurant.
Christina Rusnak Maniotis was remembered by colleagues and friends as “a bright light,” according to an article on lohud.com.
The Facebook page of the restaurant had a photo and message posted that read, in part, “The Fortina Family lost a shining star this week in Christina Rusnak.”

The restaurant said she was the first person it hired in Armonk.
Doreen Servidio Novotny left a comment that said, “She was the smile & hug that welcomed you like family.”

Brian Maniotis, 34, was being sought by Yonker police for questioning about his wife’s death.
He was found dead in a Kingston Best Western hotel room Tuesday night. It is thought he killed himself.
