Slight Snow Chance: Pelham's Weekend Weather

PELHAM, NY — Take a breath before you read the next sentence. The weekend’s weather in the lower and mid-Hudson Valley calls for snow. Now, there is only a 20 percent chance of snow Saturday night and Sunday. Considering what we’ve been through over the past couple of weeks that’s next to nothing.

Still, there is it.

There might be a little rain and/or snow Friday afternoon — again, it’s a 20 percent chance and the rain will be in the lower part of the Hudson Valley. That is, if it happens at all, considering the midday radar shows nothing.

Saturday looks to be the day to get outside, even though it will be in the low to mid-40s. But it will be mostly sunny.

Here is the weekend forecast from the National Weather Service for southern Westchester County:

• This Afternoon: A 20 percent chance of rain after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 45. North wind around 8 mph.
• Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Northwest wind 9 to 11 mph.
• Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 43. Wind chill values between 20 and 30. Northwest wind around 9 mph.
• Saturday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. North wind 8 to 10 mph.
• Sunday: A 20 percent chance of snow showers before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 40. Northeast wind 11 to 13 mph.
• Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 28.
