Sunny With A Midweek Hitch: Pelham's Weather

PELHAM, NY — Lovely and cool, that's the forecast ... mostly. The guys at Hudson Valley Weather predict things to be seasonably cool and comfortable all week.

"The average high for this time of year is almost 80° (Poughkeepsie average = 79°)," Hudson Valley Weather said. "Along with the slightly cool weather, will be low humidity. So a taste of late spring setting up to start our week."

There could be just one hitch — a chance of thunderstorms midweek.

The only exception to the dry weather will be on Wednesday," said Courtney Spamer, AccuWeather meteorologist.

Here's what the National Weather Service predicts for the five days in southern Westchester:

• Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 72. East wind 9 to 11 mph.
• Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 52. Southeast wind 5 to 9 mph becoming calm after midnight.
• Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 75. Light southeast wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
• Tuesday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers after 3am. Increasing clouds, with a low around 60. South wind 3 to 8 mph.
• Wednesday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 79. South wind 3 to 7 mph.
• Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64.
• Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82.
• Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 61.
• Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78.
• Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 60.
