Temps On The Rise: Pelham's Weekend Forecast

PELHAM, NY — Changes are on the way weather-wise for this Father’s Day weekend. Morning clouds Friday will give way to partly sunny comfortable conditions as the day goes on.

It warms up Saturday to the low to mid-80s, but then there’s Sunday.

“Sunday will bring us a mix of sunshine and clouds, but increased levels of heat,” Hudson Valley Weather said. “Temps on Sunday should climb into the mid- and upper 80s across the Hudson Valley. In addition, increasing dew points will be felt from west to east … so as the afternoon progresses, the more uncomfortable it will feel.”

Hang on for Monday, however, because the heat and humidity will certainly make themselves known. The forecast calls for temperatures in the mid-90s, but with the humidity, it will seem warmer.

Here is the forecast from the National Weather Service for the weekend for southern Westchester:

• Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 74. North wind 10 to 14 mph.
• Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 59. Light and variable wind.
• Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 84. Northwest wind 6 to 9 mph.
• Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 62. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.
• Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 89. Light and variable wind becoming southwest around 6 mph in the morning.
• Sunday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight, then a chance of showers between midnight and 2am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 68. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
