ViewFinder:The Ocean Reglitterized Exhibit

Works of Edward Dorson and other artists at the Pelham Art Center's "The Ocean Regliterized Exhibit." The exhibit remains open now through Oct. 29.

The Ocean Reglitterized Exhibit is not only a collection of beautifully captured images of the world under the sea, but a visual message from artist and conservationist, Edward Dorson. Dorson's goal is to bring awareness of the dangers facing aquatic species due to global warming, acidifcation and overfishing.  Marine scientists are concerned the extinction of these functional marine lifeforms will, ultimately, devastate the ecosystems that support humankind.

The exhibit also displays the works of Liz Phillips with her facinating, environmental sound installion and Jae Hi Ahn with her massive pvc sculpture.
