Thunderstorms, Heavy Rain, Fog Forecast for Pelham

It’s just your typical early winter forecast for late December featuring thunderstorms, fog and record-breaking temperatures, which are all forecast in the next 24 hours.
If you’re headed to the airport or packing up the car for a long trip be prepared for some unsettled weather especially today.

A Hazardous Weather Outlook was issued overnight for Westchester County for dense fog, but it should clear out by mid-morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Rain is forecast for the balance of the day, and isolated thunderstorms could pop up in the afternoon. The rain will be heavy at times and more fog also is expected.

The rain ends by dawn on Christmas Eve, but the rest of the day will be cloudy with the possibility of record-breaking temperatures. We could exceed 70 degrees throughout most of the region!
If you’re traveling Thursday night, you might encounter some rain.
On Christmas Day there is a very slight chance of showers in the afternoon but overall it’s expected to be partly sunny with temperatures in the low 60s.
