WEATHER UPDATE: Flood Watch Issued for Westchester, Rockland and Putnam Counties
The National Weather Service says areas of the Hudson Valley could see 1 to 2 inches of rain, or more, Saturday night and Sunday morning.

The National Weather Service has issued Flood Watch for Westchester, Rockland and Putnam counties beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday night and lasting through the same time Sunday.
Heavy rains are expected, with possibly 1 to 2 inches in many areas of the Hudson Valley, and as much as 3 inches in some spots.
THE HEAVIEST RAIN IS EXPECTED TO OCCUR LATE TONIGHT INTO SUNDAY MORNING...AND COULD LEAD TO WIDESPREAD URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING. STORM TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS ARE FORECAST TO RANGE BETWEEN 1 TO 2 INCHES...ALTHOUGH AMOUNTS OF UP TO 3 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE WITHIN AREAS OF HEAVIER RAIN...AND IN THUNDERSTORMS.

Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather says that Father’s Day might not be a total loss, because “whatever rainfall does reach into our area, should exit to the east by mid and late morning. So the entire day on Father’s Day, does not look like a washout.”
