WEATHER UPDATE: Special Weather Statement Issued for Possible Flooding

Rain is expected to pick up in Westchester County this afternoon and evening.

The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement for Westchester County Tuesday afternoon and evening due to rain and possible flooding.

Motorists should be on the lookout for slick roads and poor visibility in some areas, as rain picks up throughout the afternoon.

“Showers and thunderstorms will increase into this afternoon... any of which will be capable of producing heavy rain... up to one inch per hour,” the NWS states, adding:
