Weather Update: Work Week Forecast Calls for More Warmth

The frost warnings last week in parts of Westchester County were disconcerting, to say the least.

And apparently April will end on a similar note.

After another gorgeous albeit slightly chilly weekend, especially first thing in the morning, it’s back to work and school for most of us.

Today’s weather will be ok during the morning, with isolated showers throughout much of Westchester by mid-afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. Those showers could last into the evening hours, but Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday look like amazing spring days.

Nothing but sunshine and temps in the low to mid 60s, and on Wednesday temps could reach into the high 60s.

But by Thursday night and lasting into Friday, we could be dealing with rain again, but right on cue for the weekend, it looks like it’s back to sunshine and mid 60s.

“As we kick off the work week… this cool trend looks to continue,” says Bill Potter on Hudson Valley Weather. “Wednesday appears to be the big winner at the moment, with lots of sun to start the day, maybe a few PM clouds… but we could break 70° in the afternoon. That sounds fantastic… but as hard as it may be to believe… that would only be a few degrees above average for this point in the season.”

Here’s your lower Westchester County forecast for the week from the NWS:

Today: Isolated showers after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 60. Northwest wind 10 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Isolated showers before 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low in the mid 40s. Northwest wind 11 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high in the mid 60s. North wind around 15 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low in the mid 40s. Northwest wind around 7 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high approaching 70. Northwest wind 6 to 8 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low in the mid 40s.

Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high in the low 60s.

Thursday Night: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low in the mid 40s. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 60. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday Night: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low in the mid 40s. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
