“Looking further into the long range it appears that we will continue the theme of above normal temps for November as we see the early effects of El Niño on our jet stream patterns,” writes Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

We’ll see low 70s today, and 60s and mid-to-high 50s this weekend and into next week. And outside of a brief shower chance today, no rain is forecast over the next five days.

Today: Mostly cloudy. Areas of fog this morning. A slight chance of showers this afternoon. Highs in the lower 70s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Saturday: Partly sunny. Highs in the lower 60s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday: Sunny. Highs in the mid 50s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

Monday: Sunny. Highs in the upper 50s.

Tuesday: Partly sunny with a 30 percent chance of showers. Highs in the upper 50s.

Veterans Day: Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 60s.
