Weekend Forecasts Revised: Pelham's Weather

PELHAM, NY — It's shaping up to be a nice weekend in the Hudson Valley. The rain and thunderstorms we worried about are now predicted to pass to our south. And that's great news for everything that's going on this weekend, from PeaceSkill Fun Day to the Clearwater Festival.

"Both days are looking very summer like, with highs around 80° or a couple degrees above," said Hudson Valley Weather. "Dew points should be low, in the low to mid 50s across the Hudson Valley. That should translate into some very comfortable conditions, despite the summer heat. So anyone with outdoor plans should be very happy with the result!"

Here's the forecast from the National Weather Service for southern Westchester:

• Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the evening.
• Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming south in the afternoon.
• Saturday Night: A slight chance of showers between 9pm and 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. Southeast wind around 6 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
• Sunday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 75. Northeast wind 6 to 8 mph.
• Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 56. Northeast wind 3 to 6 mph.
