Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Southern Westchester
Details of what the edge of the coastal storm could bring
The National Weather Service has issued two notices for southern Westchester, as the edge of the coastal storm is expected to bring 2-5 inches of snow to the region.
- Winter Weather Advisory in effect from January 7, 07:00 AM EST until January 8, 01:00 AM EST
- Hazardous Weather Outlook
According to the NWS, southern Westchester will be on the outer edge of the storm. New York City and southern Westchester could see 2-5 inches of snow, while Fairfield County could get 3-7 inches. The bulk of the snow is expected to hit eastern Long Island and Connecticut on its way up the coast.
The snow will fall mainly after 10 a.m. into the late afternoon.
