In honor of Memorial Day, WJCS Senior Programs in Mt. Vernon and Sen. Jeff Klein are holding a free luncheon for veterans, widows, widowers and their families and guests. The luncheon is sponsored by an angel donor and is part of the Fleetwood Senior Meetings series.
Elected officials and others will share lunch and a brief all-faiths prayer service in honor of living veterans and in memory of those who are deceased. Veterans names submitted in advance will be read.
Free bus transportation is available to any Mt. Vernon resident and any veterans.
