Work Week Weather: Chance of Showers
The seven day forecast also offers up some good news and a look into the upcoming weekends forecast.

It’s shaping up to be a terrific weather week in Westchester County once we get to Wednesday.
Before then, however, we have to deal with some possible unsettled weather on Monday and Tuesday.
Both days feature a chance of showers or thunderstorms, particularly Tuesday, with highs in the mid-80s, according to the National Weather Service.

The chance of precipitation today is 20 percent, but it increases to 40 percent this evening and then 50 percent for a good portion of Tuesday.
“A line of showers and thunderstorms will press toward the Hudson Valley, but should remain to our west until after sunset,” writes Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather, speaking about Monday. “As the evening wears on… scattered showers will become likely across the entire valley… with even a thunderstorm or two being possible. It doesn’t appear to be an overly heavy event… The front moves slowly… and scattered showers will linger into Tuesday morning across the area… so expect a wet Tuesday AM commute. But conditions should improve as the afternoon progresses. Winds will shift around late Tuesday… and we’ll be experiencing a cool, Canadian air mass for the remainder of the week.”

Once we get past Tuesday the forecast for the rest of the week is almost perfect throughout the region. From Wednesday through Sunday, sunshine is predicted for each day with temperatures in the high-70s to 80 degrees on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
For the upcoming weekend, the forecast so far calls for more sun and a bit warmer teamperatures, reaching the mid-80s.
