• Whipple Foundation Buys Putnam Press/Times (highlandscurrent.org) — Philipstown's official newspaper for public notices, The Putnam County Times, now belongs to the nonprofit Whipple Foundation, which recently purchased the long-running Press/Times chain. The change keeps local coverage and legal notices intact while shifting ownership to a Garrison-based preservation-focused group that is also seeking community donations to support the papers' operations.
