• Plainedge holds off Lynbrook (liherald.com) — Plainedge High School’s boys soccer team edged Lynbrook 3–2 on Tuesday, earning its first win of the 2026 season behind strong goalkeeping from junior Brandon Clifford and scoring from several young players. Coach Jason Cinelli says the largely inexperienced Red Devils, including four freshmen, are still finding their identity but hope to turn close games like this into a playoff run.
