• PopUp Bagels Coming To Plainview, Storefront Signs Reveal (patch.com) — Plainview residents can look forward to a new PopUp Bagels location opening soon at 353 S. Oyster Bay Road in the Plainview Shopping Centre, between European Wax Center and Massage Envy. The Connecticut-based chain, known for its rip-and-dip bagel-and-schmear style, is expanding from its existing Long Island spots in Roslyn and Garden City.
   

• Muslim leaders reel over what they see as Blakeman's Islamophobic social media post (newsday.com) — Nassau Muslim leaders are condemning County Executive and gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman for social media posts they say demean hijabs and link Muslims to 9/11, and they're demanding an apology. The debate comes as local officials note that politicians routinely wear religious head coverings when visiting houses of worship, including Blakeman's own visit to a Sikh center in Plainview last year.
