Adult children caring for aging parents are invited to join Mid Island Y JCC for an evening of support, connection, and practical guidance.
As part of the Caring for Our Aging Parents series, this program will focus on communicating effectively with healthcare professionals and navigating complex medical decisions on behalf of aging loved ones. Lori Hardoon, LCSW, and Maria Lever, LCSW, of Guiding Hearts Helping Hands will share strategies for working with healthcare providers while ensuring that a loved one's values, goals, and wishes remain at the center of their care.
The evening begins with "Whine" and Cheese, an opportunity to connect with fellow caregivers over light refreshments, followed by the presentation and a closing Cookies and Conversation session for continued discussion and support.
