Construction Foreman From Long Island Shot Dead By Fired Worker: NYPD
A 37-year-old Long Island man was murdered while working at a construction site Thursday morning, police say.

A 37-year-old Long Island man working as a construction foreman in Manhattan was fatally shot Thursday morning by a man who was fired from the construction company two days ago, according to police and published reports.
Christopher Sayers, of Plainview, was shot in the head on the 37th floor of high-rise building under construction at 645 W. 59th St. around 7:10 a.m. Police say 44-year-old Samuel Perry, of Far Rockaway, fired the shots that killed his former boss.
After a manhunt, Perry was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, an NYPD spokesman told Patch.

“Talking to some of the workers so far, they said he was a bit of a hothead," NYPD Deputy Chief Christopher McCormack said of Perry, according to the report.
