Crime Report: Cops Stop Fleeing Burglar; Grand Larceny at BB&B

Crime Report: Plainview Patch reports recent area crimes and arrests.

Burglary and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property

The Second Squad reported the arrest of a Brooklyn man on May 22, 2011 at 2:20 a.m. in Jericho.

According to the detectives, defendant Jesue Seguar-Constantino, 29, of 32-6 E. 4th Street, Apt. 2, unlawfully entered a residence on 21st Street in Jericho through an unlocked front door at about 1:23 a.m. Two male residents, ages 22 and 20, were alerted by their barking dog and went to investigate. Both witnessed the defendant walking inside the house and when spotted he ran back out of the home without any proceeds.

Upon investigation and search of the surrounding area Officers observed the defendant exit from the rear of a home on 22nd Street and he was then taken into custody.

The defendant had unlawfully entered five different automobiles and had in his possession some of the proceeds when he was arrested. Four of the automobiles were on 22nd Street and one was on Scott Avenue.

Defendant Jesus Seguar-Constantino is charged with burglary and five counts of Criminal Possession of stolen property. He was scheduled to be arraigned on May 23, 2011 in First District Court, Hempstead.

  • On May 20, petit larceny, Diva Nails, Hicksville, ankle bracelet stolen.
  • On May 20, grand larceny, Nassau Avenue, Plainview, automobile stolen.
  • On May 21, petit larceny, Lever Place, Plainview, bicycle stolen from shed.
  • On May 22, grand larceny, Target, Hicksville, wallet stolen.
  • On May 22, criminal mischief, Westbury Camera, Hicksville, window broken.
  • On May 22, criminal mischief, W. Nicholai Street, Hicksville, window broken on automobile.
  • On May 24, robbery, E. Main Street, Oyster Bay, hit victim with baseball bat/subject took wallet.
  • On May 25, petit larceny, Victoria Secret, Hicksville, assorted perfumes stolen.
  • On May 25, criminal mischief, Duffy Avenue, Hicksville, scratches on automobile.
