We’ve Added New Activities to our ProgramIn addition to the sessions that we have provided in the past, we have scheduled additional activities for individuals and groups of children and adults with or without special needs.
These include:

• Activities involving elements of canine sports
• Doggie & Me classes for preschoolers
• Canine Literacy Partners for children with reading delays
• DogSmart program for typical kids who love dogs
• Pet dog training
• Therapy dog certification
• After school weekday activities
• Weekly clinics on canine-related topics
• Pooch Parties with live dogs
• Scout group merit badge activities
• Hosting school groups / field trips
• Engaging isolated but still active seniors
• Helping people with a debilitating fear of dogs
• Offering a distraction with joy for a family in crisis
• Comforting people suffering with PTSD as well as individuals suffering from abuse, disease, eating disorders, bullying, etc.
• Please ask us about our after school and Holiday Break “ Dog Smart” sessions for ages 5-10

Our NEW location in HicksvilleDogAbility Center is the first of its kind on Long Island to invite participants to visit at an all-inclusive location where a specialized canine-interactive experience is aligned with a participant’s needs. Activities are designed for those individuals and/or groups whose time with our dogs would benefit from comfort, education, recreation, socialization, as well as physical, emotional or psychological improvement.
DogAbility Center is not only centrally located on Long Island in close proximity to major highways, it is also walking distance from a major hub of the Long Island Railroad traveling to and from New York City. Entrances and parking at the center’s location are also handicapped accessible.
