Free Elder-Law Seminar Planned

Dec. 1 seminar will explain how New York's "expanded" Medicaid estate recovery could affect your assets.

New York's “Expanded” Medicaid estate recovery has gone into effect and a free seminar designed to explain the issues this could pose to the public's assets is set for Dec. 1.

New York State may now seek to recover for Medicaid benefits paid during the Medicaid recipient’s lifetime against certain assets, such as jointly held assets, life estates, revocable trusts and certain irrevocable trusts.

Plainview lawyer , an expert estate planning, elder law and probate issues, is offering a free seminar explaining how these new regulations affect your estate. Lamkin will discuss ways to protect your assets.
