H.B. Mattlin Middle School Shows Its PRIDE

Plainview-Old Bethpage School Honors Students for Doing Their "Personal Best," "Respect," "Impulse Control," "Decision Making" and "Empathy"

The Plainview-Old Bethpage School District’s H.B Mattlin Middle School recently held a ceremony to recognize 66 students who were nominated for a PRIDE award by their teachers. The ceremony honored students who demonstrated one or more aspect(s) of PRIDE throughout the school year, which include doing their Personal best, showing Respect, demonstrating Impulse control, using Decision making skills and displaying Empathy.

The students’ families were invited to attend and celebrate the students’ accomplishments among school faculty and District administrators. Several staff members spoke at the ceremony, and the school’s select choir sang the National Anthem. Nominated students received a PRIDE award certificate along with a “Mattlin hat.”
