Historical Photos Online

If you're interested in looking back at life in Plainview, the Plainview-Old Bethpage Library offers a link to a collection of photos.

The collection includes a picture of Manetto Hill School in 1907, the first Plainview fire house in 1927, several farm photos and pictures of businesses and events throughout the 20th Century.

Photos from around the area have been accumulated by the Long Island Library Resources Council and turned into the Long Island Memories site, which also hosts historical documents, genealogy links and more. The Plainview library is one of 34 on Long Island participating in the council's historical collections program.
