John F. Kennedy High School Students Volunteer at Ronald McDonald House
Spanish Honor Society Students Participated in "Meals from the Heart Dinner Program"

Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District’s John F. Kennedy High School Spanish Honor Society students recently visited the Ronald McDonald House to volunteer. In honor of the season of giving, students participated in the “Meals from the Heart Dinner Program,” serving food to families living there.
The ten Spanish Honor Society students worked together to create lean beef tacos, light rice and a mixed veggie salad to serve to residents. The students learned how a good home cooked meal can help relieve stress by witnessing the appreciation from all families. The Meals from the Heart Dinner Program at the Ronald McDonald House aims to teach students the importance of giving back and helping those in need.
After cooking and cleaning up, the Spanish Honor Society students were given a tour of the facility. Ronald McDonald House is committed to providing a place that feels like home to families with children affected by illness to refresh. The students were all very impressed by the environment and inspired to see what is provided at the Ronald McDonald house for the children and their families.
