Police Seek Men Who Assaulted and Robbed Victim Near Hicksville LIRR
One of the robbers displayed a box cutter and demanded the victim's property Tuesday night, police said.

Authorities are looking for two men who robbed and assaulted a 27-year-old man in Tuesday night near the Hicksville Long Island Rail Road station.
According to police, the victim got off at train at Hicksville was walking near the intersection of Bay Avenue and Woodbury Road when he was approached by two men.
One man hit the victim in the face and the other man displayed a box cutter demanded the victim’s property, police said.

The man gave the robbers about $120 in cash and the suspects fled the scene on foot, in the direction of East Barclay Street, police said.
The victim suffered from a contusion and minor bleeding, but refused medical attention.

Authorities described one robber as a black male, 35 years old, about 5-foot-9-inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes. The victim told police he was unsure of the other robber’s race, but he described the man as 35 years old and about 5-foot-7-inches tall.
