Question of the Day: Flight Paths?
The FAA has changed certain flight patterns out of JFK to cross over the North Shore of Long Island. What does that mean to you?
Sometime soon, area residents may notice an increased number of jet airlines flying over the North Shore as the Federal Aviation Administration implements redesigned mid-Atlantic flight routes.
The measure is designed to to ease air traffic congestion and increase on-time performance, FAA officials said. The jets will fly above 5,000 feet and may be barely noticable, the government agency said.
Have you started to notice an increased number of jets flying over Plainview, Bethpage, Syosset and the surrounding area? Are there too many already.
