Woman Sold Drugs From Home Less Than 100 Feet From Elementary School: Police
Cocaine, heroin and drug packaging materials were seized from the Nassau County home Sunday, police say.

A Hicksville woman was arrested Sunday after police say cocaine, heroin and drug packaging materials were seized from her home that’s located near an elementary school.
According to authorities, members of the Nassau/Suffolk Heroin Task Force placed Teadekera Yarborough, 31, under arrest outside her 8 Clarissa Drive home at 7:43 p.m. after authorities received complaints from local residents that she was selling drugs.
Detectives were able to obtain a search warrant on the home, that’s approximately 100 feet from Old Country Road Elementary School, after an extensive investigation and recovered 9.8 grams of cocaine, 5.7 grams of heroin and several hundred small zip lock bags that are commonly used to package narcotics, police say.

Yarborough was charged with two counts criminal sale of a controlled substance near a school, third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
She will be arraigned Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.

The arrest comes three days after a Suffolk County man was arrested for allegedly selling drugs from his home less than 250 feet from an elementary school.
