• High schoolers discover human skeletal remains in Manhasset park (abc7ny.com) — Human skeletal remains were discovered Thursday evening in Plandome Pond Park near the train tracks, leading Nassau County police to close the park and launch an investigation. Officials believe the remains may belong to an elderly woman reported missing in December, and while they see no signs of foul play, the unusual scene has unsettled neighbors who regularly use the park.
