• State audit finds Town of Plattekill did not adequately manage IT network (midhudsonnews.com) — State auditors found the Town of Plattekill’s IT network isn’t being properly managed, leaving user accounts, data security, and disaster planning weaker than state standards expect. The report flagged old employee accounts, missing breach and contingency policies, and limited staff training, but town officials generally agreed to fix the problems.
   

• Red Lobster In Ulster County Demolished For New Chick-fil-A (hudsonvalleycountry.com) — Plattekill residents currently have the county’s only Chick-fil-A at the I-87 Plattekill Travel Plaza, but a new standalone Chick-fil-A is being built at the former Red Lobster site in the Town of Ulster. The old building has been demolished, and plans call for a large drive-thru restaurant that could open as soon as late 2026.
