March 19-April 10, 2014
We’re thrilled to introduce the 2014 edition of the Westchester Jewish Film Festival, with a diverse array of 39 programs celebrating the grand sweep of the Jewish experience. This year’s expanded lineup of dramas and documentaries includes magic, Israeli history, family secrets, and the most joyous person you’ll ever meet (who happens to be the oldest living Holocaust survivor). Special guests include the riveting scholar Simon Schama on the history of the Jews, Nora Guthrie on her father Woody’s Yiddish connection, and Alisa Solomon on Fiddler on the Roof. And there’s also a piano performance! This promises to be an extraordinary three weeks.
Series sponsor: AJC Westchester
Programmed by: Steve Apkon, Brian Ackerman, Karen Sloe Goodman
