This event will be led by guest artist Danica A. Buckley from Minnesota and it promises to bring our local community together to inspire strength, unity, and peace, through singing.&nbsp; We are excited to bring this event to our community and hope that we can connect in song with titles such as “Ain’t gonna let nobody turn me ‘round”, “Be the Change”, “We choose love”, to name a few. Beckoning Path

Men’s Wellness Retreat is a five-hour immersive experience. The restorative day includes Qi Gong, drumming, walking meditation in nature, sound healing, rich conversation and a healthy lunch.

Matthew Broad is a seasoned hand-drumming instructor and community facilitator with over 25 years of experience, specializing in Djembe circles and rhythm-based connection. He fosters community through accessible, high-energy drumming, teaching participants of all skill levels to find their rhythm and listen to one another.
 Didgeridoo Sound Healing with AlejandroSound healing uses vibrations from instruments to trigger the parasympathetic nervous system, reducing stress, improving sleep, and alleviating anxiety. By creating immersive soundscapes, it clears energetic blockages and promotes deep relaxation.&nbsp; Alejandro Fuentes is a dynamic sound healer specializing in the didgeridoo, an instrument played by the indigenous Aboriginal people of Australia. It is considered a deeply sacred instrument used to connect people with ancestors, the land and the Dreamtime. It is used in ceremonies, storytelling and shamanic healing. Alejandro artfully plays other unique instruments including the Wave Chime and Handpan drum.
 Beckoning PathBeckoning Path is a mid-century architectural gem set on 27 lakefront acres in Armonk. Conceived in the 1960s, the structure features a spiky copper roof, towering timber frames, and sweeping glass walls that dissolve the boundary between inside and out. The Taconic Opera summer program for emerging opera singers, New York Opera Conservatory (NYOC), offers you an opportunity to hear the upcoming generation of professionally trained singers as they gain valuable experience perfecting their craft in a leading role. Established in 2018, the NYOC helps to fill an unmet need among trained singers to gain hands-on experience through actual performance. 
Each event in the series listed below – one tragedy and one comedy - will have a different cast, making every performance completely unique from all the others! Each performance includes the complete opera and is fully-staged. The quality and originality of this kind of personal, up-close experience defy all expectations.
July Opera:Rigoletto by Verdi -Tragedy
In true Verdi fashion, this opera is a gripping story of love, hate, revenge, betrayal and sacrifice, set to a roller coaster ride of music (including La donna è mobile). Rigoletto is the story of an unscrupulous court jester (Rigoletto) and his equally unscrupulous and womanizing master, the Duke.A nobleman places a curse on both of them after a cruel joke. Rigoletto’s daughter (Gilda) has been hidden away by her father and knows little about the world. In a cruel twist of fate, the Duke finds and easily seduces the innocent young woman who in turn saves the Duke from assassination. Rigoletto’s attempt at revenge ends up destroying the only worthwhile part of his life.

August Opera: La fille du regiment (Daughter of the Regiment) by Donizetti - Comedy
Set 200 years in the future (just for un!), Donizetti meets the Jetsons in this hilarious romp through the French countryside. A young girl is lost and raised by a regiment of soldiers. She is followed by a young man who joins the regiment just to be near her. Later, she discovers she was born into aristocracy, but her new found family refuses to allow her to marry her boyfriend and has already arranged another marriage for her. The opera features one of opera's most famous tenor arias, "Ah, mes ami," which features nine high Cs!
